The food was unreal. I mean, it was just *perfect*. Everything was fresh, bursting with flavor, and cooked to absolute perfection. The menu itself was super creative, and they have options for everyone. The staff were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. They were always around when we needed something, but never intrusive. They even gave us some great recommendations, and they were spot on! Seriously, the service was top-notch. And the ambiance? Chill, cozy, and just the right amount of lively. It was the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner with friends. The music was great, not too loud, and the whole vibe was just super welcoming. We felt completely comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Honestly, I could have stayed there all night! This place is a must-try. Seriously, don't miss out. It's the perfect combination of delicious food, fantastic service, and a great atmosphere.
The continental breakfast buffet is 20 and it was absolutely worth every penny. They have so many nice things. Much nicer than any other continental breakfast buffet Erik was the waiter who took care of us. He was superb. Plus the setting is dramatically beautiful. What a great place to have morning breakfast buffet at this resort.
We had our rehearsal dinner at the Mill Room! All around a very positive experience. Brigitte was amazing from day one and was there helping us the day of get set up and get everything we needed. The indoor/outdoor space is adorable and was so perfect. We did the pizza, nacho, salad bar and it was amazing the guest loved it! Highly recommend for any small or large event. Birthdays, showers, receptions... we will host here again soon for sure!!
Came here for happy hour with the family. The food was great. We had the tacos, burger, pretzel and wings and we enjoyed all of it. We met the owner who was really friendly and Parker our waiter was awesome. We’ll be back!
My partner and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Mill Room, and I must say it was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. We were blown away by the great dishes, impeccable service, and the warm and inviting ambiance. We indulged in the day boat scallops and cornmeal fried Virginia oysters as appetizers. For our entrees, we ordered their famous burger and grits & grillades. It was amazing! We enjoyed every bite of my juicy beef patty and her order of braised short ribs. What truly made our experience exceptional was the impeccable service provided by our servers, Natalia and Rammy. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our anniversary celebration was truly memorable. From their warm greetings to their knowledgeable recommendations, they made us feel welcome and valued throughout the entire evening.
I have eaten here a few times over the years. The Mill Room is always excellent! The food, the ambiance, the service and did I mention the food! Beef tartare, wild mushroom, Brussel sprouts to start. Smoking Sazerac and botanical gin and tonic are a must. Trout and wild boar paired with a bottle of ridge finished with dessert! Heavenly! One of my wife and I's favorite spots in Charlottesville.
Excellent service for our large group tonight (12) by Nancy. Food was very good and tasty. Need more than two scallops on the appetizer. Salads (I didn't eat one but other guests did) looked wonderful, especially the apricot feta one. Steaks were all good as was the salmon. The fried oysters were wonderful. Chocolate cake looked incredibly chocolate but needs to taste chocolate (surprisingly just sugary). Excellent fig rolls and beet rolls. Again, wonderful service.
Had dinner there a couple weeks ago. Great food, fabulous service and pretty impressive wine list. May well be one of the best NY strips I’ve ever had. Highly recommend treating yourself!!! Recently went back on Mothers Day for brunch. Two words...SKIP IT! Very different than their dinner service. Bacon sat on a pool of grease. Guys, please buy a small rack to put under the bacon. Tried the biscuits and gravy. First time I’ve had room temp gravy that was as thin as broth. Ran all over the plate. It was so bad the biscuit was literally soaking in the juice they called gravy. The only thing that stands out about this brunch is the omelette station. The guy making omelettes knew what he was doing.
